Today is a special day for the entire team as today marks our 3rd year anniversary! We’d like to celebrate it with a simple transformation post courtesy of our client, Ben.

It’s not everyday that we get to encounter clients who are within the obese category and based from our previous experiences, this is one of the more challenging groups to handle, not really from a computational aspect or approach but mostly because most clients under this group have their morale dropped to rock bottom and it took them years to pick themselves back up. It doesn’t help too that this demographic is often the subject of mockery and derogatory comments in our society, which makes their fitness journey even more difficult than it already is.

Ben initially signed up to improve on his health and while we did experience a significant amount of progress for his first few months, due to a variety of instances, his progressed came up short towards the middle of our engagement and to make matters more difficult for him, his father passed away too during this time which made him temporarily stop for a while.

While most would take such devastating events negatively, Ben decided to rise above adversity and turned it into a catalyst which propelled him to lose 67.8 lbs escaping the 300 lbs range and hitting an all time low of 254 lbs! He felt the need to do this not just for his health but for his late father as well. A mindset which we can all respect and admire.

It’s not easy to change one’s lifestyle, and to do so despite the adversities he faced and to come out of it way more motivated than ever before, is just admirable no matter how you look at it.

As we celebrate our 3rd year anniversary while in this lock down, we do hope that Ben’s story will help inspire a lot of you to take advantage of the time we have now and start a change in our lives, may it be in the fitness aspect or even just acquiring a hobby or a new skill. It would be a waste to simply spend this lock down passively without any improvements at all. It doesn’t have to be grand, as changes usually start small to which we cultivate into something larger!
