If there’s one thing that made itself clear to me the past year handling all these female clients is that women they exaggerate when it comes to their body. Kath is no different from these previous female clients, I mean just look at her body, she’s slim and very much fit!

Kath messaged me a few months back requesting if I could help her tone her arms and make her lose fat in her tummy area and my initial thought was “where?”. When Kath and I started, she was already within her healthy weight range, so the only compromise was to make her go down to a weight that is still within the healthy range while allowing her body to gradually adjust to perform what we call body recomposition.

Most people would question her decision to be even slimmer given her “before” figure. She wasn’t overweight and there was minimal fat in the areas she specified but ultimately it all comes down to how a person feels about his/her body. Here at the Architect, we definitely would REJECT requests or goals which we think would harm the overall welfare of the client. I have clients before who requested to hit underweight levels just to lose weight to which I blatantly told them is NOT possible. There’s a huge different between losing 2 lbs of QUALITY mass vs 10 lbs through crash dieting. While the latter would look better when you check the scale, the former would prove to be superior if you’re after visual changes.

Always aim for QUALITY, not quantity when it comes to weight loss. Congratulations Kath, Keep going at it!
